Toyota Motor Thailand Revises Sales Guidance for the Fiscal Year 2015

Toyota Motor Thailand revised sales guidance for the fiscal year 2015. The company has lowered its sales forecast for the local market as the country continues to reel under the pressure of political instability. For 2015, the company expects its Thai sales to come in at 280,000 units, down 14.2% year on year from 326,457 units in 2014. This compares with Toyota's previous projection of 330,000 units this year. The company expects total industry sales in Thailand to fall 9.3% year on year in 2015 from last year's 881,832 units to less than 800,000 units. The company had initially forecast industry sales of 920,000 units in Thailand this year.
