TechNet Names Matthew Mincieli as Executive Director

TechNet named Matthew Mincieli as executive director of the group's local office, which oversees advocacy and political activities in Massachusetts and 13 other states in the Northeast. Mincieli was previously at Nauset Advisors Inc., where he was the CEO of the government relations and political consulting firm he founded.

TechNet Names Linda Moore as President and CEO

TechNet announced the appointment of Linda Moore as president and CEO. Moore will lead the organization from Washington D.C. and oversee all federal and state programs in support of the policy priorities. In doing so, Moore will oversee the organization's political, policy and communications initiatives to drive the legislative landscape to make America more competitive and find solutions to the country's most pressing challenges on education, job creation, energy and the environment. Moore is a 25-year veteran of the White House, Capitol Hill, and presidential campaigns. She most recently served as founder and President of LMF Strategies. Moore will assume her new duties on February 10, taking over from acting President and CEO Alix Burns who was brought in last year to manage the CEO search and transition.

TechNet Appoints Marissa Mayer and Safra Catz to its Executive Council

TechNet announced the addition of Marissa Mayer, Yahoo! chief executive officer, president and director, and Safra Catz, Oracle president and chief financial officer to its Executive Council. Prior to Yahoo! Marissa Mayer was vice president of Local, Maps, and Location Services at Google. Prior to joining Google, Marissa worked at the UBS research lab in Zurich, Switzerland and at SRI International in Menlo Park, California. Marissa serves on the board of directors of Wal-Mart Stores Inc. She is also on the board of various non-profits, including the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the San Francisco Ballet, and the New York City Ballet. Oracle President and CFO Safra Catz joined Oracle in 1999, has been President of Oracle since 2004, and has been a member of the Board of Directors since October 2001. After serving as CFO from 2005-2008, Catz was re-appointed in April 2011.
