Fox Networks Group Announces New Africa Executive Team

Fox Networks Group Europe and Africa has announced a new executive structure for FOX Networks Group, Africa. Reporting to Adam Theiler, EVP Nordics, Turkey, Greece, Israel and Africa, Alfonso will join the organisation on 29 August 2016. In addition, Nami Patel will become CFO, UK and Africa; and Makhosazana Khanyile is the new director of sales and marketing. Prior to joining FNG, Alfonso was chief operating officer for Gotel Communications, with full responsibility for all operational management and staff. Previous roles include managing director for CNBC Africa, and general manager for Summit TV. Alfonso holds an MBA from Henley. As part of the executive restructure, Patel has been appointed CFO, UK and Africa - expanding her current role as Vice President of Business Development, Fox Networks Group, Europe and Africa. Joining 21st Century Fox in 2010, Patel spent the first four years of her tenure as finance and corporate development director. In this role, Patel worked closely with 21st Century Fox business units across Europe and Asia, with a leading role in M&A transactions in the region. Patel is a Chartered Accountant and started her career at Deloitte within the Assurance & Advisory Group, focusing on the Products, Services and TMT industries.
Fox and Mondelez International Partner on Developing Future of Ad-Supported Television

Fox Networks Group and Mondelez International announced they have finalized a partnership which will see Mondelez International leverage Fox Advanced Ad Formats on streaming and Video On Demand (VOD) platforms. The partnership is centered around ad format innovation and content co-creation, and reflects how advertisers can work with entertainment properties to define new consumer brand experiences through storytelling. Mondelez International will collaborate with Fox to roll out new ad formats on new screens, all aimed at creating content and ad experiences that work at scale in streaming and VOD environments. As part of the deal, Mondelez International will expand its use of Fox's ad formats and advanced data targeting programs, powered by true[X] technology, across all screens. It will also collaborate with Fox to create consumer-friendly ad formats that are effective for advertisers while developing a new standard for what commercials will look like in a VOD and on-demand driven world. The partnership will include a collaboration around branded content, the first element of which is a live event to air on FOX called "Heaven Sent" featuring world-renowned skydiver Luke Aikins jumping from 25,000 feet with no parachute. The "Heaven Sent" event will be broadcast Live on FOX on July 30th, 8-9p ET and re-broadcast on National Geographic on July 31st.

Fox Networks Group announced that longtime CFO Del Mayberry will retire after more than three decades with the company. Ravi Ahuja, who currently serves as FNG Executive Vice President, Business Operations and Development, has been named Mayberry's successor. As Chief Financial Officer, Ahuja will have direct management of finance and accounting and will continue to oversee business development for all FNG business units: Fox Broadcasting Company; Fox Cable Networks, including FX Networks; Fox Sports Media Group, and National Geographic Partners; and Fox Networks Group Europe, Asia and Latin America. Ahuja will report to Rice and Freer and work closely with 21st Century Fox CFO John Nallen. In his most recent role as Executive Vice President, Business Operations and Development for FNG, Ahuja supervised many of Fox's strategic, growth, merger and acquisition initiatives.
