The company was formerly known as PT Metamedia Technologies Tbk and changed its name to PT Nusantara Infrastructure Tbk in June 2006. PT Nusantara Infrastructure Tbk was founded in 1995 and is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The Chief Executive Officer of PT Surya Semesta Internusa Tbk (JKSE:SSIA) said on July 1, 2015 that he was considering buying PT Rajawali Corporation's entire 21% stake in PT Nusantara Infrastructure (JKSE:META). Five Investors Interested In Acquiring Project From Thiess Contractors

Five Investors are interested in acquiring Jakarta Outer Ring Road II project from PT Thiess Contractors Indonesia. Pt Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk (JKSE:JSMR), PT Astratel Nusantara and PT Nusantara Infrastructure (JKSE:META) are said to be the bidders. Pt Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk (JKSE:JSMR) offered to take a 55% stake, while PT Waskita Karya (Persero) (JKSE:WSKT) would own 35%, and PT Jakarta Propertindo, would take 5%. Jasa Marga set aside Rp 2 trillion for the acquisition.
