Appistry Inc. announced the availability of GenomePilot on Microsoft’s Azure Marketplace. Through a new collaboration, Appistry will actively participate with Microsoft and other partners in the development of a complete set of cloud-based services for research and clinical genomics. Appistry will be working closely with Microsoft to develop, market, and sell genomics services on Azure, Microsoft’s cloud computing platform and integrated services that enable organizations to build and manage enterprise, production-grade infrastructures and applications easily, quickly, and cost-effectively. For an initial offering, Appistry is delivering its GenomePilot data analysis application on Azure to help research and clinical laboratories process and analyze the high volumes of genomics data produced by next-generation sequencing (NGS) technology.
