Appistry Inc. Key Developments

Appistry Extends Solutions for Next-Generation Sequencing Data Analysis

Appistry announced extensions to their product line of genomics software solutions. Firstly the upcoming release of GenomePilot 4.0 will incorporate the capability to perform differential expression analysis of RNA-Seq data. GenomePilot 4.0 focuses on providing an easier way for customers to analyze RNA-Seq data by enabling differential expression analysis in three easy steps: Feature Counts – With a few clicks the user can define a feature count pipeline to identify gene counts for analysis. Experiment Builder – The innovative and intuitive Experiment Builder enables users to easily create an experiment with traits to be analyzed, while GenomePilot auto-populates gene counts into the workflow. Differential Expression – Users can quickly run differential expression analyses and visualize their results within one system without programming or working in multiple tools. Live demonstrations of GenomePilot 4.0 will be held in Appistry booth #40 at the upcoming Next Generation Dx Summit in Washington D.C.August 23-26 with customer availability on September 15, 2016. Secondly, Appistry will begin previewing a new product to the market, GenomeNavigator, which will focus on variant prioritization, clinical interpretation and reporting.

Appistry Enters Partnership with Washington University in St. Louis

Appistry announced that it has entered into a partnership with Washington University in St. Louis. Appistry will integrate the VarScan software, developed at the university’s McDonnell Genome Institute, for variant detection in massively parallel sequencing data with the company’s GenomePilot solution for next-generation sequencing data analysis in the clinical environment. VarScan is available in the current release of GenomePilot.

Appistry, Inc. Announces the Availability of GenomePilot on Microsoft's Azure Marketplace

Appistry Inc. announced the availability of GenomePilot on Microsoft’s Azure Marketplace. Through a new collaboration, Appistry will actively participate with Microsoft and other partners in the development of a complete set of cloud-based services for research and clinical genomics. Appistry will be working closely with Microsoft to develop, market, and sell genomics services on Azure, Microsoft’s cloud computing platform and integrated services that enable organizations to build and manage enterprise, production-grade infrastructures and applications easily, quickly, and cost-effectively. For an initial offering, Appistry is delivering its GenomePilot data analysis application on Azure to help research and clinical laboratories process and analyze the high volumes of genomics data produced by next-generation sequencing (NGS) technology. Initially released by Appistry in April 2015, GenomePilot provides a turnkey solution for NGS analysis by integrating tools, data, and processes into a single solution to help labs streamline their NGS analyses and increase productivity. For clinical labs operating under HIPAA or CLIA regulation, GenomePilot tracks all information associated with analysis runs for compliance auditing. Deployed on Azure, GenomePilot enables organizations to take advantage of these capabilities on a flexible, security-enhanced cloud infrastructure.
