Raley's Family of Fine Stores has laid off 29 people at its corporate office. The number represents 2% of the West Sacramento-based grocer's corporate workforce. Affected employees, all of whom were full-time, were notified on August 17, 2015.

Raley's to Close its Jarvis Avenue Grocery Store

Raley's announced that it is closing its Jarvis Avenue grocery store on August 1, blaming increased competition for a drop in sales. The company will transfer some of the workers to its other stores. Raley's has a store in Fremont. It closed a Nob Hill Foods in San Jose last month.
