Wegmans Food Markets, Inc. has announced the opening of its Burger Bar restaurant in the Woodmore, effective May 8, 2015. The worth noticing part in a tempting menu, with a focus on burgers, along with sandwich and salad options; Every burger or sandwich comes with a salad, soup, or side dish included; A kids' menu that comes with a side order, a drink, and a kiddie cone; An option for a roll made without gluten containing ingredients; A tab that's easy on the wallet. The Burger Bar strives for the three Fs Fast, Fresh, and Flavorful. A team of Wegmans chefs worked on the menu to meet the criteria. The menu has proven favorites like the traditional American Classic Burger and the more adventuresome Lamb Gyro Burger. Every order for a burger or sandwich includes a side order of Tuscan fries, salad or soup. For an additional $1, the side can be sweet potato fries or onion rings. Salad lovers have options too, with entree-sized Baby Kale and Arugula Salad ($7), Grilled Cobb Salad ($7), or Caesar Salad ($6). Add chicken for $5, salmon for $6, or scallops for $7. Kids age 12 and under can select from the regular menu or the Kids' Meals menu, where the $5 entrees for Kid-Size Burgers, Chicken Fingers, or Mac & Cheese include a side order, small drink, and a kiddie cone. The menu also includes ice cream and specialty milkshakes for those who crave a little something sweet.

Wegmans Food Markets, Inc. Expands in Amherst to Include Added Jobs and the Pub

Wegmans Food Markets, Inc. is making another major investment in Erie County, with a nearly $40 million expansion and renovation project at its 8270 Transit Road store in Williamsville. The 14,000 sq. ft. addition will include expanding the stores’ Market Café, available to seat 165 people. The kitchens will be remodeled with a 'green' refrigeration system. Every department in the store will receive upgrades and new equipment. Wegmans introduced The Pub to WNY. It is now in five Pennsylvania stores. The Pub by Wegmans will open its first Virginia location in Alexandria, in June. This is a full-service restaurant inside the grocery store. Led by an executive chef and inspired by the incomparably fresh ingredients sold on-site in the store, The Pub by Wegmans will serve an inspired array of dishes that go beyond typical pub standards, as well as cocktails, wine and an extensive selection of craft beer.

Wegmans Food Markets, Inc. is recalling approximately 12,540 packages of Wegmans Organic Food You Feel Good About Just Picked Frozen Spinach, 12 oz. (UPC 77890-32932) due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The product was sold in the frozen food department of the company’s 85 stores in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, Maryland, and Massachusetts between January 27 and March 21, 2015. Only packages with the following codes are affected: BEST USED BY JAN 26 2017 50265 and BEST USED BY FEB 02 2017 50335. This product is supplied to Wegmans by Twin City Foods, Inc. No illnesses associated with this recall have been reported to date.
