Hy-Vee, Inc. announced that Mike Agostino, current president of Amber Pharmacy/Hy-Vee Pharmacy Solutions, has accepted a new position in which he will lead pharmacy innovation and business development for the supermarket chain. In the coming weeks, Agostino will assume the role of vice president of pharmacy innovation/business development at Hy-Vee. In this newly created position, Agostino will work with Hy-Vee’s health and wellness teams to research, develop and launch programs and initiatives that further grow Hy-Vee’s health brand. In addition, Agostino will continue his involvement in industry and government relations on behalf of Hy-Vee. Agostino joined Amber Pharmacy in 2008 after previously working as a vice president of managed care sales for Walgreens, where his responsibilities included operations, sales, business development, small business solutions, contracting and client services. In addition to his leadership role at Amber Pharmacy/Hy-Vee Pharmacy Solutions, Agostino is extremely active in the pharmacy community. He serves on the board for the National Association of Specialty Pharmacy and is a member of its Executive Committee, Membership Committee and Government Affairs Committee. He is an instructor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s pharmacy program, an editorial board member for Specialty Pharmacy Times and the author of many published articles.

Hy-Vee, Inc. announced a new executive promotion, the 2016 board of directors at the company’s annual stockholders’ meeting. The company's executive vice president and chief retail officer Jay Marshall was named company’s new chief operating officer, becoming only the fourth person in the company’s history to hold that title. Hy-Vee Inc. Signs Lease for 93,000-Square-Foot Building at Yankee Doodle and Pilot Knob Roads

Hy-Vee Inc. has signed lease for a 93,000-square-foot building at the former Lockheed Martin corporate campus at Yankee Doodle and Pilot Knob roads. The store will be the first building constructed as part of the Central Park Commons project on the 47-acre site at a bustling corner just west of Interstate 35E. The project calls for an additional 257,000 square feet of retail space, a two-story Fairview Clinics medical building, a fitness center, a bank, a Punch Pizza and three other restaurants. The store is expected to open by the fall of 2016. Hy-Vee plans to open about four to five stores each year over the next several years in the Twin Cities market. Stores typically employ 550 to 650 people.
