Ashley Furniture HomeStore Plans New Store in Sanford, Central Florida

Ashley Furniture HomeStore is adding its fourth location in Central Florida. Kingswere Furniture LLC, which does business as Ashley Furniture HomeStore, signed leases totaling 37,741 square feet in the Gateway Plaza shopping center in Sanford. The firm signed leases for four suites at 203 Towne Center Blvd., which it will combine into a single space. The store is slated to open in the second quarter. Construction details weren't immediately available, but the project is expected to create temporary construction and vendor opportunities, as well as an unknown number of permanent jobs.

The location, inside Perimeter Center near Summer and White Station Road, has not announced a specific closing date, but its closing sale began Feb. 6. The closing, blamed on a 'lost lease' will not impact the other three Memphis-area Ashley locations.
