Ormat Technologies Inc. (NYSE:ORA) is reportedly seeking to sell Geothermal facilities to Northleaf Capital Partners. “Ormat Technologies Inc (NYSE:ORA) will sell a 40% interest in 106 MW of geothermal facilities to Canada's Northleaf Capital Partners,” the Pacific Business News said on February 27, 2015. “The value of the deal is estimated at approximately $180 million,” the daily said, citing public records. “The transaction, expected to be completed on March 15, will include the divestment of a minority stake in Ormat Technologies' 38-MW geothermal plant on Hawaii's Big Island. Ormat will provide day-to-day management control for the facilities, following the sale. The deal involves the creation of a new holding company named ORPD LLC and implies a total value of about $438 million,” according to the report.
