As a part of a corporate expansion, PEMCO World Air Services (PEMCO) has appointed Ernie Kiss as Vice President of Quality and Engineering. Bringing 35 years of aviation experience, Kiss is responsible for aligning PEMCO’s engineering strength with that of the company’s quality systems in order to maintain a high-level of operations safety and improve customer satisfaction. Kiss was hand selected for this new role as a key component in PEMCO’s growth plan. He will be tasked with executing PEMCO’s strategic plan while maintaining a high-level of quality and performance. Kiss joins PEMCO with a multitude of aviation experience having held a number of leadership positions in operations, compliance and engineering. Most recently, Kiss served as Vice President of Operations for AAR Landing Gear Services following Lopez’s transition to PEMCO. Kiss has also served in a variety of functions from technician to manager quality and training for Eastern Airlines, Northwest Airlines and Atlantic Southeast Airlines.

PEMCO World Air Services has appointed Pastor Lopez as CEO. Bringing nearly 30 years of industry experience, Lopez is responsible for the growth and sustainability of PEMCO’s leading maintenance and conversion operations. Lopez joins PEMCO with a multitude of aviation experience having held a number of leadership positions ranging from engineering to product development and quality control. Most recently, Lopez served as Vice President of AAR Aircraft Component and Landing Gears overseeing the Amsterdam, Kuala Lumpur, Miami and New York business units. In this role, Lopez was responsible for driving strategic initiatives to develop and support long-term growth, profitability and operational excellence. Previously, Lopez was Vice President and General Manager of AAR Landing Gear Services, managing over 380 employees in the Miami and Malaysian facilities. Effective immediately, and reporting to Pastor Lopez, CEO, Mr. Shane King is now the Vice President of Maintenance for PEMCO World Air Services. Shane started his aviation career with the U.S. Marines in 1991 and served in Desert Shield and Desert Storm operations. He received his A&P license in 1997 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Shane joined PEMCO in 1997 as an aircraft technician on the B727 conversion program. Since then he has progressively risen through various positions including Supervisor, Manager of the Northwest program for five (5) years, and most recently as the Vice President of Maintenance. Mr. George Fedeanis will oversee all commercial PEMCO business, from direction of all aspects of sales and marketing to business development related to PEMCO’s MRO and cargo conversion programs. Prior to joining PEMCO, George held business development positions with HEICO Aerospace and Aviation Sales, managing the purchase of Buyer Furnished Equipment (BFE) for new aircraft deliveries along with oversight of a variety of outsourced repair contracts with major OEM’s. George started his aviation career in US Airways’ M&E department.
PEMCO World Air Services Announces New Contract

PEMCO World Air Services announced a new contract. The company will service JetBlue's fleet of Airbus A320s for five years. This new deal is a consolidation of JetBlue's Florida maintenance work and will increase the number of aircraft that will be serviced in Tampa. The deal to handle JetBlue's airframe maintenance work will support 200 jobs and have an estimated economic impact of up to $110 million on the Tampa Bay economy.
