Waterland Reportedly In Talks To Buy MEDIAN Kliniken

Waterland Private Equity Investments BV is in exclusive talks to buy MEDIAN Kliniken GmbH & Co. KG, two people familiar with the matter told Reuters. Waterland has offered to pay roughly €1 billion, one of the sources said. Waterland, which owns smaller German chain of specialist clinics RHM, declined to comment. Advent also declined to comment.

PAI Partners and Waterland Private Equity Investments BV are among the suitors to acquire MEDIAN Kliniken GmbH & Co. KG from Advent International Corporation and British real estate investor Marcol, Reuters reported citing people familiar with the matter. It is believed that Asklepios-ASB Krankenhaus Radeberg GmbH is no longer among the field of bidders. Marcol, Advent International Corporation, PAI Partners and Waterland Private Equity Investments declined to comment.

A.S.Adventure n.v. may be sold. According to Sky News understands Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, Inc. (CDR) is among the possible bidders for Lion Capital LLP’s AS Adventure Group. Mike Ashley, the Sports Direct International plc (LSE:SPD) tycoon is also said to have an interest in AS Adventure. Clayton, Dubilier & Rice’s involvement in the auction raises the prospect of Sir Terry becoming involved in another firm. Waterland Private Equity Investments BV is also rumored to be interested. According to the report, Sports Direct, CDR and Lion Capital all declined to comment.
