Austral Participações Stake To Be Sold; XL, ACE Said To Be Interested

Stake in Austral Participações S.A. may be sold. Vinci Partners has officially put its controlling stake in Austral up for sale after some unofficial negotiations. XL Group plc (NYSE:XL), Swiss Re Ltd. (SWX:SREN), ACE Limited (NYSE:ACE) and AXA Group (ENXTPA:CS) are said to be amongst the companies interested in the purchase. JPMorgan is said to be handling the potential sale. The sale is part of Vinci Partners' plan to sell shares after Austral's operations reached maturity, and will also provide funds to support other operations. Vinci Partners currently owns 80% of Austral.

Kroton Mulls Buyers For Uniasselvi

Kroton Educacional S.A. (BOVESPA:KROT3) intends to sell Grupo Uniasselvi. Kroton said on October 23, 2015, the company is seeking a potential buyer for Grupo Uniasselvi. The announcement came after O Estado de S. Paulo reported that Kroton has struck a deal with The Carlyle Group LP (NasdaqGS:CG) and Vinci Partners for BRL 1.1 billion. Kroton said in a securities filing that it has not signed an agreement to sell Uniasselvi.
