ZMD AG Introduces ZSPM1505/ZSPM1506 Digital Controller for Powering Enterprise Networking and Storage Equipment

ZMD AG released the ZSPM1505 and ZSPM1506 single-phase true-digital power controllers optimized for powering auxiliary power rails for field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) in enterprise networking and storage applications. ZMDI offers superior, high-performance solutions for power management, sensing, battery management, automotive ASICs and industrial ASSPs. With over 50 years of industry leadership, ZMDI is a preferred supplier for many customers. ZMDI is introducing the ZSPM1505 and ZSPM1506 to expand its energy-efficient Power Management ICs product line with pre-designed, smart point-of-load (POL) solutions for enterprise networking and storage applications. Many high performance FPGAs require a third power supply commonly referred to as the auxiliary rail (AUX). The AUX rail is often used to power internal clocks, phase-lock loops, peripheral input/output devices and transceivers in FPGA applications. These are critical rails that require tight tolerances and low jitter and ripple on the output voltages. The ZSPM1505 and ZSPM1506 are pre-configured to provide customers with a fast time-to-market and easy-to-design solution for high-performance, digitally controlled power supplies with one of ZMDI's integrated MOSFET power stage DrMOS products: the ZSPM9000, ZSPM9010, ZSPM9015 or ZSPM9060. The ZSPM15xx family of digital controllers features a flexible design that allows users to easily select the over-current protection limit, output voltage rise time and control loop compensation via two external resistors to achieve the high performance in their application. The ZSPM1505 is preconfigured for a power stage output of 1.8V, and it is capable of supporting loads up to 30A. The ZSPM1506 can support loads up to 25A at 2.0V. ZMDI provides bills-of-materials (BOMs) and circuit board layouts to improve customer design cycles, reduce external component cost and minimize application footprint size.

ZMD AG has released the ZSPM1504, a single­phase true­digital power controller optimized for powering system­on­chip (SOC)supplies in embedded computing applications. The ZSPM15xx family features ZMDI’s Sub­cycle Response™ (SCR) technique to drive the digital pulse width modulation (DPWM) asynchronously during load transients. This enables the controller to minimize the output voltage deviation and allow the output capacitors to recharge faster. It permits the SOC to perform at peak performance even under a highly dynamic power load. The ZSPM1504 is pre­configured to provide customers with a fast time ­to market and easy ­to­design solution for high­performance, digitally controlled power supplies with one of ZMDI’s integrated MOSFET power stage DrMOS products: the ZSPM9000, ZSPM9010, ZSPM9015 or ZSPM9060. The ZSPM1504 controller’s flexible design allows users to easily select the over­current protection limit, output voltage rise time and control loop compensation via two external resistors to achieve the highest performance in their application. As a global supplier of analog and mixed­signal solutions for automotive, industrial, medical, information technology and consumer applications, ZMDI is introducing the ZSPM1504 to expand its energy­efficient Power Management ICs product line for pre­designed, smart point­of­load (POL) solutions in embedded computing applications. ZMD AG Releases the ZSPM1503 Single-Phase, True-Digital Power Solution

ZMD AG has released the ZSPM1503 single-phase, true-digital power solution that has been optimized to power field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) in telecommunication, data communication, and networking applications. The ZSPM1503 has the ability to regulate the output voltage within a tight tolerance of +/-1% and minimize output ripple voltage to 5mV peak-to-peak or better, which is typically needed to power the core voltage for FPGAs with a 1.2V supply. The ZSPM15xx family features ZMDI's Tru-sample Technology, which reduces phase-lag caused by sampling delays, minimizes noise sensitivity and improves transient performance. Tru-sample Technology enables the ZSPM15xx family to acquire fast, accurate and continuous information about the output voltage so that the ZSPM15xx can react instantaneously to any changes in the output voltage. The ZSPM1503 is pre-configured to provide customers with a fast time-to-market and easy-to-design digitally controlled power solution with one of ZMDI's integrated MOSFET power-stage DrMOS products: the ZSPM9000, ZSPM9010, ZSPM9015 or ZSPM9060. The ZSPM1503 permits users to easily select the over-current protection limit, output voltage rise time and control loop compensation via two external resistors to achieve the high performance in their application.
