TNT Chooses Verizon Enterprise Solutions to Implement its Global Communications Infrastructure

TNT has chosen Verizon Enterprise Solutions to implement its global communications infrastructure. Verizon will provide global network, telephony and conferencing services, as well as comprehensive security solutions, to help TNT's 58,000 employees collaborate and deliver seamless, efficient and effective service to TNT's customer base of companies around the world. In 2014, TNT launched a strategy called Outlook to drive profitable growth, achieve operational excellence and organize to win. Simplifying and transforming IT is particularly important in helping TNT to deliver a perfect transaction to customers, from order, through tracking, to delivery of their consignments. A cornerstone of global business operations is a strong network foundation. Verizon has been chosen to deliver a new, high-capacity, secure and reliable network infrastructure to link TNT's 3,000-plus hubs and depots worldwide. Unified communications and collaboration solutions, including video, audio and net conferencing, will enable TNT to facilitate communications while also improving productivity. Most importantly, with the Verizon team taking responsibility for all network management and operational needs, TNT's internal team is able to focus all its efforts on supporting the company's strategic goals.

MiCTA Inks New Agreement with Verizon Enterprise Solutions

A newly forged and expanded agreement between MiCTA and Verizon Enterprise Solutions will provide state and local government agencies, K-12 schools, colleges and universities, libraries, and nonprofits with access to a broad array of advanced communications and information technology solutions. Under the new agreement, Verizon is expanding the scope of available solutions, adding services such as cloud computing, managed hosting, mobile device management and content delivery capabilities through Verizon Digital Media Services, as well as expanded network and desktop security, and professional consulting services. In addition, certain purchases made by schools and libraries may qualify for Universal Service Fund e-rate funding, a Federal Communications Commission program that helps schools and libraries obtain affordable broadband. The application period for funding year 2015 opened on Jan. 14 and runs through March 26. The new agreement between MiCTA and Verizon runs through 2016 and replaces an existing one that was set to expire in August 2015. The new offerings join the options already offered by Verizon to help state and local governments and schools enhance their operations and deliver essential services to constituents and students: advanced networking (broadband and satellite); voice (local, long-distance and Internet protocol); managed and professional services; security services; data center collocation; business continuity consulting services; mobility and managed mobility; cloud-based unified communications and collaboration; and a full suite of audio, interoperable video and Web conferencing solutions.

DuPont Fabros Technology, Inc. Expands Relationship with Verizon Enterprise Solutions

DuPont Fabros Technology, Inc. has expanded its relationship with Verizon Enterprise Solutions. Already a presence in DFT's other data centers in Northern Virginia as well as California, Illinois and New Jersey, the expanded relationship welcomes Verizon into the large data center in DFT's portfolio, ACC7. Verizon provides DFT's customers with a variety of enterprise-class networking services, including Private IP, public Internet, Ethernet and wavelength services.
