Airtel Africa Announces Executive Appointments

Airtel Africa has appointed Farhad Khan as chief commercial officer and Daddy Mukadi Bujitu as chief regulatory officer. Khan was recently serving at MTN South Africa where he held the post of chief sales and distribution officer since August 2013. The new chief regulatory officer, Bujitu, was earlier placed with Vodacom Group where he was serving as the executive head of international regulatory affairs and international commercial legal affairs.

VeriFone and Airtel Enter into Pact

VeriFone Mobile Money and Airtel Africa have announced a pact. The two firms have reached an agreement to offer VeriFone Mobile Money's applications to companies. The deal would see the deployment of Mobile POS (mPOS), POS and Biometrics for International Remittance to Airtel Money customers. The solution is expected to enable fast and secure transaction processing at point-of-sale.
