EDENS Announces Executive Appointments for Texas Portfolio

EDENS announced pivotal appointments for the company. With more than 20 centers in Texas, EDENS fortifies its commitment to the market by naming Tom Kiler as Senior Vice President to helm the Texas portfolio and to lay the groundwork for future expansion. Kiler rejoins EDENS after having served as Vice President of Development for EDENS from 2006 to 2014 in the Washington, DC regional headquarters. As EDENS new Senior Vice President, Kiler is responsible for management of the company's Texas portfolio and will direct acquisitions, development and operations of EDENS' properties in Houston and Dallas. EDENS also announced two veteran company leaders in new roles for the Texas market. Keith Davidson, Vice President of Investments, will be responsible for dispositions and investment relationships in the region. With more than 15 years at EDENS, Davidson has extensive experience in acquisitions, dispositions, and financing. Brent Buck, Director of Investments, will lead asset management of EDENS' core portfolio in Texas. Having spent 13 years in EDENS' Columbia, SC office, Buck returns to Texas where he spent his earlier career directing property management and leasing.

EDENS Announces Residential Partnership with Gables Residential on Development of 530 First Street in Alexandria

EDENS announced residential partnership with Gables Residential on the development of 530 First Street in Alexandria, Va. 530 First Street will be the next major step in the evolution of Old Town North. EDENS will spearhead a new retail heart to the neighborhood. The LEED-certified, mixed-use project will offer 232 units of distinct apartment homes above 50,000 square feet of neighborhood-serving retail. EDENS owns and operates a number of other successful retail developments in the area, including Mosaic and Arlington Ridge in Northern Virginia, and Union Market in the District.

EDENS Acquires Casa Linda Plaza in Dallas

EDENS announced its purchase of Casa Linda Plaza, one of the oldest shopping centers in the Dallas area. This 323,000 square foot center, located five miles northeast of downtown, was first opened in the late 1940s. The center serves the White Rock Lake area neighborhoods of Lake Highlands, Lochwood, Casa Linda, and Forest Hills. It is situated on three of the four corners at the intersection of Buckner Boulevard and Garland Road and is anchored by Albertson's as well as local favorites like Torchy's Tacos, El Fenix Restaurant, Highland Park Cafeteria, and Elliott's Hardware.
