Wolters Kluwer Health has announced the launch of UpToDate Anywhere in Japan. UpToDate Anywhere enables Japanese hospitals and healthcare organizations to provide clinicians with mobile access to UpToDate, the acclaimed evidence-based clinical decision support resource. Wolters Kluwer Health Unveils Sentri7 Enhancements for Improved Antimicrobial Stewardship
Jan 16 15
Wolters Kluwer Health announced the release of updates to its Sentri7® electronic surveillance solution to improve the efficient and effective management of antimicrobials in hospitals and health systems. The advanced offering will help antimicrobial stewardship teams improve patient care and lower costs by optimizing use of drugs associated with antibiotic-resistant strains. Combining real-time AMS functionality, clinical content and consulting services, Sentri7 provides key components to help healthcare facilities optimize antimicrobial stewardship programs (ASPs). Through a real-time, continuously generated antibiogram and an on-demand days-of-therapy (DOT) report, Sentri7 alerts clinicians to the improper use of antimicrobials and guides them to take proper actions while also providing a means of measuring stewardship program performance. Wolters Kluwer Clinical Decision Support Guidance™ offers real-time clinical guidance for intervention opportunities and expert-driven suggestions for next steps, while Smart Alerts™ provides immediate and accurate feedback on optimal antimicrobial use. Rounding out the solution is ClinicalOneSource.com, a web-based resource center that provides in-depth insight into infection-related topics, and change management consulting services provided by a team of MAD-ID certified clinicians for efficient implementation of a successful ASP. Sentri7is a web-based, real-time, decision support application that drives continuous improvement and empowers healthcare organizations to achieve excellence in care delivery. It supports multiple infection prevention responsibilities, including investigation of HAIs, isolation management, multi-drug resistant organism (MDRO) management and compliance with federal and state reporting requirements.
Wolters Kluwer Health Announces Lippincott Solutions Sponsorship of 2015-2016 Baldrige Excellence Framework
Jan 14 15
Wolters Kluwer Health announced that it will use the Lippincott Solutions brand to promote the 2015-2016 Baldrige Excellence Framework (Health Care). The Framework, a cornerstone of the Baldrige Program, is a set of questions that focus on improving results and building alignment across an organization. The resulting alignment ensures consistency of purpose while supporting agility, creativity, innovation and decentralized decision making. In a recent study, Baldrige hospitals were recording faster five-year performance improvement than peers and were 83% more likely to be among Truven Health Analytics' 100 Top Hospitals. Wolters Kluwer joins lead sponsor The American Hospital Association (AHA) to promote the Framework and its ability to positively affect patient outcomes in participating healthcare organizations. This sponsorship is part of a larger gift to the Baldrige Foundation in support of its $35 million Campaign for the Growth of Baldrige, a national effort to sustain and grow the application of Baldrige principles and performance excellence in the U.S. and throughout the world.
