NPTest Holding Corporation merged with and into Cataline Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Credence Systems Corporation in May 2004. Previously, NPTest Holding Corporation was engaged in the design, development, and manufacture of advanced semiconductor test and diagnostic systems; and provision of related services for the semiconductor industry. The company’s products enabled customers to debug, characterize, and test various integrated circuits, including the multi Gigahertz microprocessors and system-on-a-chip devices. NPTest was formed in 2003.
