Digital Guardian Launches Digital Guardian 7.0 for Data Protection Against All Threats

Digital Guardian has launched Digital Guardian 7.0, which extends the functionality of the patented Digital Guardian Agent to protect against advanced threats. The extension of Digital Guardian’s data protection capabilities comes with a redesign of the product architecture for ease of deployment for use cases ranging from data visibility and device control to indicator of compromise (IOC) detection and incident response. Digital Guardian enables visibility, control and protection for all important data over its entire lifecycle. This release also includes a new content server with out-of-the-box rules and policies to deliver instant value to customers. Digital Guardian has the most comprehensive system coverage with agents for Windows, Linux, Mac and Virtual environments. It offers flexible deployment options where customers can host and manage on premise or choose the Managed Security Program or Hybrid Managed Security Program options. From a single Digital Guardian Management Console and one endpoint agent, customers have the ability to deploy functionalities for use cases without expensive add-on products or additional endpoint agents.

Verdasys has added three senior executives to its leadership team: Doug Bailey, chief strategy officer; Salo Fajer, chief technology officer; and David McKeough, executive vice president, global field operations. After strong momentum in the first half of 2014, the company continues to position for more growth in the rapidly expanding security market. Douglas Bailey is responsible for business strategy and go-to-market planning at Verdasys. He has a long track record of success in IT security, most recently at McAfee and NitroSecurity, which was acquired by McAfee in 2011. Before that, Bailey was vice president of sales at Xelor Software, vice president of sales and marketing at Clarus Systems and vice president of sales at Ipsum Networks. Salo Fajer drives product vision and innovation efforts at Verdasys, overseeing product management, product marketing and technical content development. Prior to Verdasys, Salo served as senior director product management, risk, compliance and analytics at McAfee and chief strategy officer at NitroSecurity. David McKeough will drive global field operations at Verdasys overseeing the international sales and sales engineering teams. He is an IT security veteran, most recently spending eight years at McAfee where he led global sales efforts for its advanced technology group and oversaw some of the company's most successful acquisitions.
