French Business School Becomes Newest Radford's International Exchange Partner

Radford University and the ESDES School of Business and Management have signed an exchange agreement that will enable Radford students to study at the business school in Lyon, France. Radford's International Education Center now offers nine exchange programs in which students study for a semester at an international partner university. The agreement with ESDES, signed on February 22, 2016, will enable students to spend a semester studying in Lyon and ESDES students will study here. RU students will be able to choose from over 40 courses in the areas of management, marketing, finance, international business, and the European Union as well as having the option to take French language classes at all levels. ESDES will provide RU students with all they need to make the transition into living in France as easy as possible including housing, health insurance and academic advising. It will also offer excursions and activities, such as trips to Paris and the United Nations headquarters in Geneva, cooking classes with a French chef, as well as dinners with local families, visits to area museums and regional ski areas.

Radford University has announced the selection of Brian O. Hemphill, Ph.D., as its 7th president, beginning July 1, 2016 when he will succeed Penelope W. Kyle, J.D. who is retiring after 11 years of service as Radford University's president. Hemphill has served since July 2012 as the 10th president of West Virginia State University.

Radford University President Penelope W. Kyle and Board of Visitors (BOV) Rector Michael A. Wray announced that the BOV approved on March 28, 2015 President Kyle's plan to retire as president, effective June 30, 2016. Kyle, who was appointed in 2005 as Radford University's sixth president, is also RU's first female president.
