The proposal would result in an overall reduction of approximately 800 roles nationally across Sensis advertising operations, sales, management and support areas.

Sensis announced financial results for the year ended June 30, 2013. For the period, the company’s revenues were down 11.7% to $1.3 billion. Print revenues were down 11.4% for White Pages and 25.6 % for Yellow Pages. Against this, the company saw an acceleration of growth in digital portfolio. Revenues were up 11.3% to $415 million, compared to growth in 2012 of 4.5%. The decline in other revenue was due to lower call volumes across all voice products. EBITDA was down 21.7% to $571 million. Whilst the EBITDA margin reduced 6% points to 44%, the company’s is able to offset some of the decline in revenues through productivity improvements.
