EDA Consortium Elects Officers and Board Members

The Electronic Design Automation Consortium (EDAC) announced that it has elected the Board of Directors and elected officers to serve the organization through spring 2016. Lip-Bu Tan, President and CEO of Cadence Design Systems, and John Kibarian, President, CEO, and co-founder of PDF Solutions Inc., were elected as co-Chairs through 2016. In addition to the officers listed above, the EDA Consortium Board includes one new member and six continuing members: Raul Camposano, CEO, Nimbic, Inc; Edmund Cheng, President and CEO, Gradient Design Automation; Aart de Geus, Chairman and CEO, Synopsys, Inc; Dean Drako, President and CEO, IC Manage; Grant Pierce, CEO, Sonics (new); Walden C. Rhines, Chairman and CEO, Mentor Graphics Corporation and Simon Segars, CEO, ARM. The new board was elected by the EDA Consortium voting members during the voting period ending May 23, 2014. The board co-chairmen were elected at the first meeting of the new board, held on May 29. At the same meeting, the new board reappointed corporate officers Robert M. Gardner CFO and Treasurer, and Mark White, Partner, White Summers Caffee & James, LLP, Corporate Secretary.
