Fabless Semiconductor Association (FSA) is an industry association of fabless semiconductor companies and suppliers. The association promotes the fabless business model, facilitates business partnerships, provides industry updates, and implements standards and policies. Its members include more than 200 companies that include fabless companies, foundry providers, packaging and assembly houses, investment bankers, and intellectual property providers. FSA was founded in July 1994 and is based in Dallas, Texas.

Global Semiconductor Alliance Elects Andy Pease to its Board of Directors

QuickLogic Corporation announced that Andy Pease has been elected to the Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA) board of directors for a three-year term. The GSA board sets the organization's general direction, decides matters of overall policy and reviews GSA activities. Mr. Pease brings his breadth of experience as an executive and leader in both large and small semiconductor companies which produce software as well as silicon devices, IP, and services. These companies include Vantis, where he was Vice President of Worldwide Sales prior to its acquisition by Lattice Semiconductor; Broadcom, where he was Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales; and QuickLogic, where he is now President and CEO.
Global Semiconductor Alliance Announces Executive Appointments

The Global Semiconductor Alliance announced the appointment of two key executives as well as the results of its 2015 Board of Directors election. Scott McGregor, president, chief executive officer and member of the board of directors of Broadcom Corporation, has been appointed vice chairman of the GSA Board of Directors for 2015. Dr. Lisa Su, president and chief executive officer of AMD, has been appointed as a semiconductor director. Mr. McGregor is responsible for guiding the vision and direction for Broadcom's corporate strategy.
Global Semiconductor Alliance Appoints Steve Mollenkopf as Chairman

Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA) announced the appointment of Steve Mollenkopf as the Chairman of the GSA Board of Directors for 2014 and 2015. Mollenkopf serves as chief executive officer elect and president of Qualcomm Incorporated. He also serves as a member of Qualcomm's Board of Directors. He served as executive vice president and group president from September 2010 to November 2011, and executive vice president and president of QCT from August 2008 to September 2010.
