John Hancock Insurance Launches an Enhanced Variable Universal Life Insurance Product, Accumulation VUL

John Hancock Insurance launched an enhanced variable universal life insurance product, Accumulation VUL, providing clients with a flexible solution to help them meet their protection and wealth planning goals. Accumulation VUL, designed with pre-retirees in mind, offers affordable death benefit protection plus the potential for cash value accumulation to help supplement retirement income, fund college or meet business planning needs. Clients can choose from a diversified range of underlying investment accounts that represent nearly every major asset class and investment style, or opt for the simplicity and automatic diversification offered by John Hancock's Lifestyle MVP Portfolios. Consumers also have the option of adding John Hancock's VUL TargetTrack, an allocation planning tool that allows clients to set an allocation schedule that will automatically change over time based on their unique policy needs and investment objectives.

John Hancock Insurance Enhances its Universal Life Product, Protection UL

John Hancock Insurance announced enhancements to its current assumption universal life product, Protection UL. The company said more competitive premiums are now available on all lump sum and single-pay scenarios, resulting in a more attractive product. These enhancements apply to all new business and inforce Protection UL '13 policies. In a low-interest rate environment, Protection UL can deliver more value to the consumer than guaranteed universal life insurance products. It offers consumers the opportunity for cash value growth potential and the security of lengthy guarantees while also featuring a premium that is often more affordable than lifetime guaranteed universal life policies. Consumers also have the option of adding John Hancock's recently improved Long-Term Care rider to the policy for more comprehensive coverage. The enhanced rider provides greater design flexibility when insuring against rising costs of long-term care.

John Hancock Insurance Offers Long-Term Care Rider on All Single Life Products

John Hancock Insurance announced that it has launched an improved Long-Term Care (LTC) rider that is available on many of its life insurance products. The rider now provides greater design flexibility when insuring against rising costs of long-term care. The new LTC rider provides consumers with more coverage for retirement planning with an increasing death benefit option, as well as more flexibility to specify the LTC coverage needed, helping balance LTC and estate planning needs.
