Latham & Watkins Announces Executive Changes

Latham & Watkins has elected two London-based counsels to its partnership. Capital markets specialist James Inness and international arbitrator Charles Claypoole joined the firm's partnership ranks as of 1 March 2015. Alongside Inness and Claypoole in London, other new European partner additions include Hactor Armengod in Brussels, Michel Houdayer in Paris and Javier Lapez Antn in Madrid. Armengod specializes in antitrust law, while Houdayer and Lapez Antn focus their practices on banking and finance.

Latham & Watkins Reports Revenue Results for the Fiscal Year of 2014; Announces the Appointment of Partners

Latham & Watkins reported revenue results for the fiscal year of 2014. For the period, the company's revenue has rocketed by 14.3% between 2013 and 2014, from $2.28 billion to $2.61 billion. However, the company made a number of key lateral partner hires including structured finance partner Lucy Oddy from Berwin Leighton Paisner in March (25 March 2014). It also hired Tom Alabaster, who previously worked in-house at key private equity client Carlyle Group.

Latham & Watkins LLP Appoints Michael Morin and David Frazier as Partners in the Litigation Department

Latham & Watkins LLP announced that Michael Morin and David Frazier, have joined the firm’s Washington, D.C. office as partners in the Litigation Department. Both are seasoned patent litigators, with particular experience in pharmaceutical and biologics cases, and they have handled cases involving some of the world’s best-selling drugs. Morin and Frazier join the firm from Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP in Washington, D.C.
