Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation Signs Agreement with Centre National d'Etudes Spatiales and University of New South Wales
Aug 2 16
Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) has signed an agreement for a ballooning project with Centre National d'Etudes Spatiales (CNES). CSIRO is collaborating with CNES on an international research program known as PILOT, a balloon-borne astronomy experiment for the study of polarised emissions arising from interstellar dust grains. CNES conducted the first stratospheric flight of PILOT instruments in Canada in late 2015. It now intends to work with CSIRO to conduct a second flight in March/April 2017 using the CSIRO Ballooning Facility in Alice Springs, Australia. In addition to the agreement between CSIRO and CNES, CNES will also enter into an agreement directly with the University of New South Wales to provide it with the on the ground operational support it will need during the campaign.
Greenearth Energy Limited Announces Collaboration with CSIRO to Develop Advanced Manufacturing Processes for the Design and Development of Energy Efficient Lighting Solutions
Jul 25 16
Greenearth Energy Limited has announced collaboration with CSIRO to develop advanced manufacturing processes for the design and development of energy efficient lighting solutions. The collaboration involves a number of targeted research projects focused on the production methods, materials and technologies which Greenearth Energy's subsidiary Vivid Industrial uses in lighting applications. This collaboration with Australia's preeminent (and world renowned) scientific research organisation is a major testament to Vivid Industrial's bestofbreed technology. It has already seen the development of technology which will reduce a current best practice manufacturing process used by Vivid Industrial, from 24 hours to one minute. This will yield substantial productivity and quality benefits for Vivid Industrial's locallydesigned and manufactured Matrixx intelligent LED lighting products, and allow it to compete successfully in a global market dominated by products manufactured in lowcost countries. Such process improvements also assist Vivid Industrial to rapidly scale its capacity in response to demand.
