Dr. Grenfell joins Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) from healthcare provider, Bupa, where he held the role of National Medical Director for Australia and New Zealand. Dr. Grenfell will lead CSIROs Health and Biosecurity group which spans public health, animal health, environmental health, and biosecurity. He will also be responsible for CSIROs broader health strategy which will address the critical health challenges facing Australia drawing on the organizations deep portfolio of expertise across e-health, biomedical manufacturing, nutrition, and One Health (linking human, animal and environmental health). CISRO Appoints Professor Tanya Monro to the Board

Professor Tanya Monro, Deputy Vice Chancellor and Vice President: Research and Innovation of the University of South Australia, has been appointed to the CSIRO Board. Announcing her five year appointment, the Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science, the Hon Christopher Pyne MP, said Professor Monros background as a highly regarded physicist and her experience in the higher education and research sectors will complement the expertise of the CSIRO Board. Professor Monro is an experienced board member and chairperson whose membership on the Commonwealth Science Council and the South Australian Economic Development Board will be of great benefit to her role on the CSIRO Board.
