Colorado Bioscience Association (CBSA) is a not-for-profit corporation that provides services and support programs to the bioscience companies in Colorado. The association offers education, advocacy support, technical, and networking programs. It was formerly known as Colorado Biotechnology Association. The association changed its name to Colorado Bioscience Association on following its merger with Colorado Medical Device Association (CMDA) on 10/1/2003. CBSA was founded in 1997 and is based in Aurora, Colorado.

Colorado BioScience Association (CBSA) announced the appointment of Mark Spiecker as its new chairman of the board of directors. Spiecker, the CEO of Sharklet Technologies and outgoing CBSA vice chairman of the board, will lead CBSA for a two-year term. He was appointed along with eight new board members and nine returning board members during the CBSA annual board retreat on April 22. Spiecker is replacing outgoing chair Derek Cole, the President of Investor Relations Advisory Solutions, who will continue to serve on the CBSA board and executive committee through 2016. Newly appointed board members include: Ginny Orndorff, Director, CID4; Kate Tallman, Associate Vice President, University of Colorado Technology Transfer Office; Alan Rudolph, Ph.D., Vice President for Research, Colorado State University; Gary Connell, Co-President, Sheridan Ross; Lauren Costantini, Ph.D., CEO, Prima-Temp; Milo Metcalf, Vice President of Operations, Allosource; Fintan Steele, Ph.D., Executive Director of Communications, SomaLogic; and Larry Blankenship, Evergreen Research. Spiecker, the new chairman of the board, leads Sharklet Technologies Inc., which develops surface technologies designed to address microorganism growth and make healthier, safer and cleaner environments. He guides a team of scientists, business development professionals and product developers who are focused on Sharklet.

The Colorado BioScience Association (CBSA) introduced two new board members to its membership at the 2014 Annual All-Member meeting held at the Omni Interlocken Resort, Broomfield, CO. New CBSA Directors are Marcus Boggs, Founder, CEA Medical Manufacturing (Colorado Springs). He has been involved in the medical device business for over 25 years and founded CEA in 1988. Dustin Whistler, Principal, Forte Commercial Real Estate (Denver). Chair of the CBSA Membership Committee and founder and principal at Forte Commercial Real Estate.
