The association changed its name to Colorado Bioscience Association on following its merger with Colorado Medical Device Association (CMDA) on 10/1/2003. Colorado BioScience Association Announces Board Changes

Colorado BioScience Association announced the appointment of a new slate of board members, representing the state’s medical device and pharmaceutical companies, research institutions, and service providers supporting the life science sector. The five new board members were approved during the CBSA annual board retreat on April 20, 2016. The new members bring a wealth of experience in life science from careers in research, marketing and regulatory affairs, as well as corporate growth and financial management. Newly appointed board members include: Bobbi Coffin, Biodesix, Vice President of Commercial Marketing. Terry Dagnon, Dohmen Life Science Services, Senior Vice President, Denver Operations. Terri Fiez, Ph.D., University of Colorado-Boulder, Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation. Mark Messenbaugh, SomaLogic, Executive Director, Corporate Strategy and Development. Dan Muehl, Clovis Oncology, Vice President of Finance and Principal Financial and Accounting Officer. Current board members moving onto the executive committee include: Alan Rudolph, Ph.D., Colorado State University, Vice President for Research, Ginny Orndorff, CID4, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer and Dustin Whistler, Forte Commercial Real Estate, Founder and Principal. CBSA board members commit to a three-year term and work in partnership with CBSA staff to support the growth of Colorado’s more than 600 life science companies.

Colorado BioScience Association Announces Board Changes

Colorado BioScience Association (CBSA) announced the appointment of Mark Spiecker as its new chairman of the board of directors. Spiecker, the CEO of Sharklet Technologies and outgoing CBSA vice chairman of the board, will lead CBSA for a two-year term. He was appointed along with eight new board members and nine returning board members during the CBSA annual board retreat on April 22. Spiecker is replacing outgoing chair Derek Cole, the President of Investor Relations Advisory Solutions, who will continue to serve on the CBSA board and executive committee through 2016. Newly appointed board members include: Ginny Orndorff, Director, CID4; Kate Tallman, Associate Vice President, University of Colorado Technology Transfer Office; Alan Rudolph, Ph.D., Vice President for Research, Colorado State University; Gary Connell, Co-President, Sheridan Ross; Lauren Costantini, Ph.D., CEO, Prima-Temp; Milo Metcalf, Vice President of Operations, Allosource; Fintan Steele, Ph.D., Executive Director of Communications, SomaLogic; and Larry Blankenship, Evergreen Research. Spiecker, the new chairman of the board, leads Sharklet Technologies Inc., which develops surface technologies designed to address microorganism growth and make healthier, safer and cleaner environments. He guides a team of scientists, business development professionals and product developers who are focused on Sharklet.
