Frontier Silicon announced the launch of its new UNDOK connected audio system. UNDOK is a set of hardware modules, firmware, APIs and mobile apps which enable a flexible and powerful multi-room experience for connected audio products – including table top and Internet radios, speakers, integrated audio systems, soundbars and micro-systems. UNDOK provides multi-room functionality for multiple audio sources. UNDOK also supports multi-sound – where the app allows users to play audio from different sources on separate groups of speakers. All devices using UNDOK are interoperable. The ‘Powered by UNDOK’ branding helps consumers choose compatible products and create their own personal soundscape. The UNDOK app (available in iTunes App Store and Google Play) is developed and maintained by Frontier, ensuring that it is always up to date with the latest design and technology trends.
Frontier Silicon Brings Spotify Connect to Harman Kardon Networked AV Receivers

Frontier Silicon announced that its Chorus 3 connected audio processor has been updated to add Spotify Connect and other network audio functionality to a range of Harman Kardon's Audio Video Receivers (AVRs). The Chorus 3 processor supports streaming Internet Radio and audio playback from DLNA/UPnP or USB devices using a wide range of formats including MP3, AAC+, WMA, WAV, FLAC and LPCM. The firmware provided with the chip includes a highly dependable networking stack, providing a cost effective solution for high quality connected audio systems such as AVRs, Hi-Fi tuners, Wireless speakers, and Home Theatre in a Box (HTiB). The Harman Kardon AVR 151 /161 AVRs (pictured) are high performance 5.1 channel networked AV receivers, with multiple connectivity options including Ethernet, HDMI, Bluetooth, and USB. The latest iteration of Chorus 3 firmware adds Spotify Connect capability to the AVRs, allowing Spotify users to access their favourite tracks and playlists directly from the receivers.

Frontier Silicon has recently launched an upgrade to its award-winning Venice 6.5 Wi-Fi connected audio module. The company announced that a majority of existing customers have signed up to take the over-the-air software upgrade, which turns Venice 6.5 based products already in the market into multi-room capable devices, which are able to interoperate freely with each other.
