Rex-Cut Products, Inc. Key Developments

Rex-Cut Abrasive Introduces Type 27 Cotton-Fiber Abrasive Grinding and Blending Wheels

Rex-Cut Abrasives introduced a full line of Type 27 cotton-fiber abrasive grinding and blending wheels that provide smooth controlled grinding action, run cool, and are non-loading on aluminum. Rex-Cut(R) Type 27 Cotton Fiber Grinding Wheels feature multiple layers of cotton fiber that are impregnated with aluminum oxide abrasive grains and then pressed and bonded together. Ideally suited for blending and finishing aluminum in one-step, they provide smooth controlled grinding action, run cool, are non-loading, and eliminate the need for waxes and lubricants. Constantly revealing fresh abrasives as they work, Rex-Cut(R) Type 27 Cotton Fiber Grinding Wheels for aluminum incorporate a GFX synthetic latex bond and come in 36- and 54-grit versions. Sizes offered include 4", 4-1/4", 5", 7", and 9" dia., in 1/8", 3/16", and 1/4" thicknesses; available with or without 5/8-11 throw away adapters. Rex-Cut(R) Type 27 Cotton Fiber Grinding Wheels are priced from $8.59 up, depending upon size and quantity.

Rex-Cut Introduces Line of Interleaf Flap Discs

Rex-Cut Abrasives introduced a line of interleaf flap discs that utilize two separate abrasive materials to remove small welds and create a grained-in satin finish in one operation. Rex-Cut FUSION Flap Discs consist of a premium coated abrasive layer and a non-woven surface conditioning layer that are combined into one disc which can remove light welds and produce a grained-in finish on stainless steel. Eliminating the need for multiple grinding operations, these flap discs save operator time, run smoothly, and create a uniform satin finish in one step. Providing controlled material removal, Rex-Cut(R) FUSION(TM) Flap Discs constantly reveal fresh abrasives as they work and typically last up to six times longer than traditional surface conditioning discs, claims the firm. Suitable for flat or contoured surfaces, they are available in 4-1/2" and 5" dia. sizes and come in coarse, medium, and fine grits.

Rex-Cut Products Inc. Introduces Cotton Fiber, Unitized, and Rubber Mounted Points

Rex-Cut Products Inc. introduced a full line of mounted points offered in cotton fiber, unitized, and rubber constructions for manual and robotic applications. They are available in most ANSI shapes and sizes. Rex-Cut(R) Mounted Points are available made from cotton fiber, unitized, and rubber for all types of deburring, blending, and polishing applications. Cotton fiber points constantly reveal fresh abrasives as they work and can debur and finish in one-step; unitized points are softer and more resilient than cotton for in-hole polishing and touching up decorative finishes; and rubber points are well suited for very light deburring and surface cleaning. Each style of Rex-Cut(R) Mounted Points is offered in several configurations. Cotton Fiber mounted points and Megabrite Unitized are available with aluminum oxide or silicon carbide abrasives and different bonds while the Rubber Mounted Points are made with an aluminum oxide grain and calendar synthetic rubber which has a high tensile strength and is tear resistant. They all come in industry standard A, B, and W shapes. Rex-Cut(R) Mounted Points are priced according to type and quantity. Pricing and samples are available upon request.
