Ingenico Group (ENXTPA:ING) indicates that the discussions which had been initiated with a view to potentially acquire WorldPay Limited could not be completed and have been brought to an end.

Ingenico Reportedly Submitted Bid For £6.6 Billion To Acquire WorldPay

Ingenico Group (ENXTPA:ING) has submitted an all cash offer worth £6.6 billion to acquire WorldPay Limited from Bain Capital Private Equity and Advent International Corporation, as per the learning of Sky News and ShareCast. As per the sources, Ingenico has also arranged additional banking support to finance the offer. The proposal may persuade Worldpay's owners to cancel its stock market listing. The decision on the same is expected to be taken in the next week, as per the source close to the bid. According to the insiders, Ingenico has appointed BNP Paribas SA (ENXTPA:BNP), JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE:JPM) and Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS) to work alongside HSBC Holdings plc (LSE:HSBA), Natixis (ENXTPA:KN) and Societe Generale Group (ENXTPA:GLE) on the financing of its offer.
