Net Optics, Inc. Key Developments

Net Optics, Inc. Announces Revenue Results for the Nine Months of 2013

Net Optics, Inc. announced revenue results for the nine months of 2013. For the period, the company's revenue grew 21% over the same period in 2012, reaching $42 million, with third quarter revenue growth of 31% year-over-year to reach a record $15.5 million.

Net Optics, Inc. Announces Spectrum of Advanced New Features and Capabilities in its Popular Flex Tap

Net Optics, Inc. announced a spectrum of advanced new features and capabilities in its popular Flex Tap(TM) product line. Net Optics will demonstrate the upgraded Flex Tap at Interop (Booth #519) in New York. The Flex Tap resolves system-wide signal loss issues for Service Providers and other organizations as network volumes increase and optical networks migrate to 10G, 40G and 100G. These signal loss issues arise from the fact that as optical network speeds increase, even the smallest imperfections in optical couplers, cable, or access Taps can introduce enough modal distortion to quickly make bit error rates unacceptable. The Flex Tap's patented design provides network operators the means to deliver visibility to these high-speed networks without the risk of injecting errors. This breakthrough product supports deployment with any multimode transceiver, eliminating the signal loss that arises from data errors in high-speed networks. Key features and benefits: substantially lowers error rates and enables the high signal-to-noise ratios that make for excellent clarity and fulfillment of service level agreements. Passes a wider light spectrum, which accommodates small imperfections without degrading the quality of the signal. Requires no power or IP address for transparent, 24/7 monitoring that's totally isolated from the network. Compatible with all major manufacturers' monitoring devices. The Flex Tap allows any connected monitoring device to deliver total visibility of full duplex traffic as if it were in-line, instantly identifying Layer 1 and Layer 2 errors. With rack space increasingly expensive, the Flex Tap deploys in an extremely compact space; fitting up to 24 taps in a 1U panel, and supporting 1G, 10G, 40G and 100G implementations -- a leap forward in value and cost-savings.

Net Optics, Inc. Announces the General Availability of xFilter Version 3.0

Net Optics, Inc. announced the general availability of xFilter(TM) Version 3.0, providing total visibility and improved monitoring in converged environments. xFilter 3.0, which ships both as a physical and a virtual appliance, deploys in all areas of the converged data center. This programmable Network Packet Broker (NPB) offers up to 12 10GB ports, allowing tools to access and monitor traffic even when the latest protocol encapsulation is utilized in the data center. xFilter: Deduplicates redundant traffic from all areas of the network, enhancing lifespan and efficiency of monitoring tools. Delivers sophisticated filtering including BGP-based IP filters. Supports up to 5000 egress filters with unprecedented flexibility. xFilter 3.0's advanced packet deduplication resolves issues caused by feeding duplicate traffic (captured in various areas of the network) to security, application and network monitoring tools. This redundancy overburdens tools, impairs performance and even causes imprecise reporting of errors. xFilter's unique, patent pending "de-dupe" approach sends monitoring tools only one copy of traffic of interest, which minimizes packet payload overhead, raises efficiency, and optimizes tool performance and accuracy. By eliminating duplicates, customers can double (or better) their utilization and data center tool throughput. xFilter also allows engineers to use Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)-related information with IP-based filters, eliminating the need for complex device-peering with BGP routers. This capability leverages higher customer value in BGP traffic engineering. In addition, by not having to use a BGP stack, the solution becomes more cost-effective and simpler to use, providing better performance.
