RGB Spectrum, Inc. Announces the Launch of Zio™, a New AV/IP Technology Platform
Jun 6 16
RGB Spectrum, Inc. announced the launch of Zio™, a new AV/IP technology platform. Zio will debut at InfoComm 2016. Zio is an innovative family of products based on technology that offers video, audio and control distribution over an IP network. For moving large amounts of data, an IP infrastructure excels. However, distributed video sources and destinations create unique challenges for time-sensitive and time-ordered video streams. Zio’s transport technologies and unique peer-to-peer architecture address these problems, while delivering exceptional user control and performance management. Zio endpoints attach to a 1Gig Ethernet switch, with encoders accepting computer and video sources at resolutions up to 4K Ultra HD, and decoders feeding displays. The Zio system offers seamless switching over the IP network infrastructure. All Zio endpoints can operate over both dedicated and shared networks. Zio is highly scalable and ideal for systems of any size – across rooms, buildings, campuses or cities. As system requirements grow, additional endpoints are easily added. Zio’s flexible compression feature makes it well suited to local building LAN or low bandwidth satellite links to remote locations. Zio is cost-effective and reliable. Dedicated and expensive servers are not required, reducing cost and vulnerability to failure. Zio is versatile. Endpoints can provide a gateway to traditional AV distribution systems with RGB Spectrum’s Linx switchers, enabling a mixture of analog and digital baseband content with IP traffic. Zio can also be integrated with RGB Spectrum’s MediaWall processors for multi-screen display applications. Zio offers exceptional user control and performance management. Simplicity and ease of use are evident throughout – but don’t let the simplicity fool – the Zio control interface allows administrators access to very advanced tools. Zio excels in the most complex environments.
RGB Spectrum to Demonstrate Three New Solutions at ISC West
Apr 13 15
RGB Spectrum announced it will demonstrate three new solutions at ISC West to be held April 15 to 17, 2015 at the Sands Convention Center in Las Vegas. The company is exhibiting in booth #6135. RGB Spectrum Enterprise MCMS is an innovative hardware and software control room platform that provides unified, arbitrated control over system resources (data, graphics and video). It uses video rather than custom software to integrate control of disparate security and monitoring systems such video management systems (VMS), DVRs, access control, life safety, building automation, GIS, call box and other security subsystems, even legacy systems with no network connectivity. Scalable and versatile, the Enterprise MCMS system is ideal for security control rooms and operations centers of all sizes, from small-scale installations that utilize a single multiviewer, to those with the video wall displays. Other key benefits provided by Enterprise MCMS include: Consolidates control of dissimilar systems; Hardware-based, ‘air-gapped’ design isolates controlled systems from networks, operators and from each other, to protect sensitive data and infrastructure; Fosters collaborative decision making through a hierarchical system of permissions and priorities; Reduces operator response times to improve health, safety and environment (HS&E) metrics. In addition, the company will demonstrate alternative systems for control room management: RGB Spectrum’s Galileo Display Processor is a powerful and economical video wall and control room system designed around a PC-based architecture. This processor combines the benefits of PC-based systems, such as IP inputs and the ability to run applications on video walls, with real-time performance, 24/7 reliability, and the ability to control 3rd party equipment.
