Raycom Media Restores 43 Local Stations to DIRECTV Homes

DIRECTV and Raycom Media have entered into a new agreement that will restore Raycom Media's 43 local broadcast stations into DIRECTV customers' homes immediately. The resolution guarantees New Orleans Saints, Cleveland Browns and other NFL fans will see their home team's opening games starting at 1 p.m. ET this afternoon. Terms were not disclosed.

Raycom Media Appoints Ken Reiner as its New VP of Programming

Raycom Media announced the appointment of Ken Reiner as its new VP of programming. Reiner will assume the new role from September 1, 2014 and will report to Susana Schuler, senior VP of content, marketing and programming. He has been corporate director of programming for the group, based out of L.A., where he will remain. Reiner manages program content, development and syndication purchases, scheduling and the budget for the mix of affiliates of the Big Four and smaller nets. Earlier, Reiner served in programming at Tribune Broadcasting and Newport Television.
