The Alliance for Downtown New York's executive committee of the board of directors last night unanimously elected Alan Scott, Managing Director at Deutsche Bank, as its new chairman. Scott is the Alliance's third Chairman, replacing most recent Chair Dennis Friedrich. Alan Scott, who currently serves as Managing Director, Corporate Services, joined Deutsche Bank in 2003 and has overseen significant work on the bank's real estate portfolio, as well as assignments in project management and strategic planning. Prior to his work at Deutsche Bank, Scott worked at Goldman Sachs & Co. and American Express. He is a member of the Editorial Board for the CRE Journal and previously served as President of IDRC Europe and Board Member of IDRC USA.

Alliance for Downtown New York Announces Change of Chairman

Alliance for Downtown New York's board of directors last night unanimously elected Brookfield Properties Partners' Global Office CEO Dennis Friedrich as its new Chairman. Friedrich replaces Robert Douglass, who has served as the company's Chairman since its inception in 1995 and will remain a member on the board of directors. Dennis Friedrich was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Brookfield Properties in July 2012 following a year as President and Global Chief Investment Officer.
