NBCUniversal Media LLC's USA named Jessica Sebastian as vice president of unscripted series. Sebastian previously served as vice president of development for IAC/InterActiveCorp's Electus and senior director of development for the former Style Network. She will oversee USA's unscripted programming, leading development and the current slate.

MGM Studios and Danjaq LLC Drop Suit Against NBCUniversal Media LLC and Universal City Studios LLC

MGM and Danjaq filed the original suit in April 2014, accusing Universal of attempting to create a James Bond knockoff through its Section 6 project. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc.'s MGM Studios and Danjaq LLC have agreed to dismiss without prejudice their copyright infringement suit against NBCUniversal Media LLC, Universal City Studios LLC and screenwriter Aaron Berg. The plaintiffs filed the original suit in April 2014, accusing Universal of attempting to create a James Bond knockoff through its Section 6 project, Deadline.com reported Jan. 7. In October 2014, the Comcast Corp.-owned studio reportedly accused the plaintiffs of trying to gain a monopoly on the British spy genre. According to court document reportedly filed before the U.S. District Court of the Central District of California, the parties will each bear their respective legal costs.

Comcast Corporation and NBCUniversal Partner to Launch New Digital Fitness Network

Comcast Corporation and NBCUniversal have partnered to launch Radius, a new digital fitness network. Radius is a new premium fitness brand that offers unlimited access to a broad variety of workout and lifestyle programming, viewable anytime, anywhere, and on any screen. Fitness buffs and beginners alike can experience Radius via RadiusFitness.com, the Radius Fitness App for iPhone and iPad, a 3-hour weekday block of TV programming on NBCSN, and soon through Xfinity On Demand. Radius Charter Memberships are currently offered for a $9.99 monthly subscription fee. For those who have limited time but still want to fit a workout in, Radius offers programs like "10acious," a series of full body workouts can finish in 10 minutes. Radius will continue to add new elite trainers and emerging fitness trends so that members can shake up their workout routines and reach new goals. Using Radius, users can also track and monitor their fitness activities while staying motivated as they earn Radius Achievements. As a launch partner, Comcast will offer Radius members who sign up through Xfinity the ability to view the service's fitness programming via Xfinity On Demand on the TV, and soon on their favorite devices via Xfinity TV Go platforms. In addition to Xfinity, Radius is joining forces with some of the most innovative leaders across all areas of the fitness industry in order to deliver a comprehensive consumer offering that fits into an increasingly connected ecosystem of products and services.
