MIB Group, Inc. announced the election of its Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for 2016-17 and the election of two new directors, all of whom are highly-experienced insurance industry veterans serving as senior officers of MIB member companies. Effective May 12, 2016, David P. Wheeler, Executive Vice President and Head of U.S. Mortality Markets for RGA Reinsurance Company, will become Chairman, thereby succeeding Joseph L. Pray, President and Chief Executive Officer for the Trustmark Companies who will remain on the MIB Board of Directors as Immediate Past Chair. Jeffrey Carlson, Executive Vice President and Head of Operations for AIG's Life and Accident & Health business, will begin service as Vice Chairman.
Newly elected to a three-year term on the company's Board of Directors are David Acselrod, Vice President of New Business and Underwriting for Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company, and Dean Del Vecchio, Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer & Head of Enterprise Shared Services for The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America. Mr. Acselrod begins his first term on the company's Board in May 2016. As Vice President, New Business and Underwriting for Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company, he is responsible for the development of MassMutual's overall underwriting operations strategy. This includes operational oversight of the company's Life and Disability Income Underwriting and New Business departments, the implementation of continuous underwriting process improvements and ensuring that all risk selection practices are in compliance with regulatory requirements.

MIB Group, Inc. announced that Traci Davis, FLMI, AALU, ACS has joined as Vice President of Account Management & Business Development. Ms. Davis will lead a team of account managers responsible for providing service to MIB's 430 members, extending MIB's Underwriting Services into new markets, and supporting new business initiatives. She'll play a key role in identifying new business opportunities and industry partnerships for MIB. Ms. Davis reports to Brian Millman, Vice President. Ms. Davis comes to MIB with over 20 years' experience in life insurance underwriting, product development, operations management, and strategic partnerships. She most recently was Vice President of Underwriting Services at EMSI where she was responsible for successfully leading a team responsible to sell new EMSI service offerings, as well as championing their electronic health record initiatives. Immediately prior, Ms. Davis was CEO and founder of Advanced Underwriting Solutions, Inc. Ms. Davis is the incoming 2016 President of the Association of Home Office Underwriters (AHOU) and currently serves as AHOU's Vice President of Programs. She is the past President (2006-2012) of the Rocky Mountain Society of Home Office Underwriters and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences.

MIB Group, Inc. announced the election of its chairman and vice chairman of the board of directors for 2015-16, and the election of one new director. Effective May 8, 2015, Joseph L. Pray, CLU, ChFC, president and chief executive officer for the Trustmark Companies, will succeed Thomas F. English, Esq., senior vice president, deputy general counsel and chief insurance counsel for the New York Life Insurance Company, as chairman of the board. David P. Wheeler, FALU, FLMI, executive vice president and head of U.S. Mortality Markets for RGA Reinsurance Company, will serve as vice chairman. Mr. English will remain on the MIB board of directors as immediate past chair. Newly elected to a three-year term on the MIB Board of Directors, Brooks Tingle, senior vice president John Hancock Insurance, Marketing and Strategy for Manulife Financial, begins his term at the same time. Mr. Pray joined the MIB Board in 2011 and will serve as its new chairman, 2015-2016. As president and chief executive officer of the Trustmark Companies, he is responsible for all aspects of the company's business, including its primary operating divisions: CoreSource, Starmark, Voluntary Benefit Solutions and HealthFitness Corp. Mr. Wheeler joined the MIB Board in 2011 and will serve as its new vice chairman, 2015-2016. As executive vice president and head of U.S. Mortality Markets for RGA Reinsurance Company, he has responsibility for the management of more than 100,000 U.S. facultative underwriting cases per year and for the medical, professional and support associates who process them. In addition, he is accountable for U.S. underwriting risk management and facultative mortality results, and leads underwriting participation in decisions regarding pricing, marketing and claims. Mr. Tingle begins his first term on the MIB Board in May 2015. He is senior vice president, Marketing and Strategy, John Hancock Insurance and leads all of John Hancock's insurance marketing activities, as well as developing and implementing their market expansion strategy. Prior to his current role, Mr. Tingle was SVP and COO, Life Insurance where he led underwriting, IT and operations.
