Sony Online Entertainment LLC and Daum Communications Announce Planetside2 Coming to South Korea

Sony Online Entertainment LLC announced a new partnership with Daum Communications massively multiplayer online first-person shooter (MMOFPS) PlanetSide(R) 2 to the country. To kick off this new partnership, SOE and Daum will showcase PlanetSide 2 at the G-STAR Global Game Exhibition in Busan, Korea on November 14-16, 2013. Daum will hold exclusive PlanetSide 2 publishing rights, including dedicated servers, local customer support and payment gateways for South Korea. PlanetSide 2 will launch in the games-savvy Asian country as a free-to-play game, granting players access to PlanetSide 2 free of charge so they can choose to play by their preferences. The game, which was developed using SOE's next generation MMO engine, ForgeLight(TM), delivers unprecedented sci-fi realism with massive battles featuring thousands of players engaged in combat for their factions.

Sony Online Entertainment, UOL BoaCompra And Gamerica Partner to Bring PlanetSide(R)2 to Brazil

Sony Online Entertainment LLC announced a new partnership with Gamericamassively multiplayer online first-person shooter (MMOFPS) PlanetSide(R) 2 to Brazil. The publishing agreement will also utilize Brazil's leader in game monetization, UOL BoaCompra, to provide local payment methods for PlanetSide 2. Gamerica will debut PlanetSide 2 at the Brazil Game Show in Sao Paulo Oct. 25 to 29 at booth PD3. The international partnership grants Gamerica exclusive PC publishing rights for PlanetSide 2 in Brazil and ensures that dedicated servers, local customer support and payment gateways -- through UOL BoaCompra -- will be provided for the game exclusively in Brazil. Gamerica will also host PlanetSide 2 at planetside2.gamerica.uol.com.br to provide Brazilian gamers with easy, localized access. Launched under the free-to-play model, PlanetSide 2 players are granted basic access to the game free of charge so they can choose to play in a way that suits them best, and make purchases in-game using their preferred payment methods in their country.
