ColumbiaDoctors Selects HealthGrid's Mobile Patient Engagement Platform to Enhance Patient Experience and Care Delivery

HealthGrid announced a new initiative with national multi-specialty healthcare practice ColumbiaDoctors. HealthGrid will enable ColumbiaDoctors’ physicians across the enterprise to connect with their patients anytime, anywhere, and through any mobile device, to provide actionable care coordination, access to critical health information, and to enable self-care management. HealthGrid offers the first patient engagement platform to help providers activate, acquire and retain patients while simultaneously complying with demanding regulatory requirements such as Meaningful Use and Medicare’s Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS). As part of the initiative, ColumbiaDoctors will fully integrate HealthGrid’s patient engagement platform into its workflow to coordinate care delivery via mobile technology. The solution will also enable ColumbiaDoctors to enhance the patient experience through: Timely pre-and post-visit communications, Access to care information to promote collaboration between ColumbiaDoctors’ care teams and care settings, Mobile check-in to improve office wait times and free up staff for more effective workflow activities, Personalized patient education to patients’ mobile devices, Instant patient feedback through real time assessments and surveys. Robert “Bob” Kyte officially took the helm at Healthwise on July 1, 2016 after the retirement of founder and CEO Donald W. Kemper. Kyte was named as CEO in March after an almost year-long, nationwide search. He officially started on June 1, 2016 to ensure a smooth transition, and current Healthwise senior leadership have stayed on board to maintain continuity and a strategic focus on the organization’s nonprofit mission to help people make better health decisions. This is Kyte’s second stint at Healthwise, having served as its general and outside counsel for 15 years beginning in 1990. Kyte comes to Healthwise from the nonprofit Adventist Risk Management Inc., where he served as president and CEO. He has previously served as general counsel at the World Headquarters of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Washington, D.C., and as CEO and general counsel for Pacific Press Publishing Association.
Healthwise and HealthGrid Announce Agreement to Offer Personalized Mobile Content for Deeper Patient Engagement

Healthwise and HealthGrid unveiled a joint agreement to deliver Healthwise's health education content to patients using HealthGrid's patient engagement solution. This collaboration will empower patients by combining customized patient education from the nonprofit provider with timely and intelligent technology that delivers information directly to patients before, during, and after health provider visits. The partnership is on the forefront of a trend in healthcare towards encouraging patient engagement, education, and participation in patient's own health decisions. Patient engagement has been shown to increase patient satisfaction and reduce costs for healthcare providers. This collaboration will eliminate two major obstacles facing patient engagement: patient access and lack of physician time. Healthcare providers currently rely on paper print-outs during doctor visits and online portals that expect patients to know when and how to access the information they need. Using Healthwise's content and HealthGrid's CRM platform, curated, personalized content will be pushed to patients' phones via text message at the correct moment in their care journey.
