Zipcar announced that US General Services Administration's, or GSA, Federal Acquisition Service has selected Zipcar as a vendor to be awarded a blanket purchase agreement as a car sharing provider for federal government employees in Boston, Chicago, New York City and Washington, D.C. The GSA looked at a wide range of car sharing options as part of a pilot program to help federal agencies reduce costs, improve service and optimize their use of vehicles.
