Peet’S Coffee & Tea Opens New Store in Wrigley Building
Jan 26 15
Peet’s Coffee & Tea announced the opening of its new store in the iconic Wrigley Building at 400 North Michigan Avenue. Peet’s now has 17 retail locations across the greater Chicago area. Peet’s in the Wrigley Building showcases the company’s new, contemporary store design that takes the coffee shop experience to a higher level, similar to the way Peet’s crafts its coffee, while connecting people to the history and character of the building. The 1,140 square-foot store, located in the South Tower off the central plaza, incorporates the building’s vaulted ceilings and is designed with natural materials including honed Carrera marble counters, custom light fixtures and espresso-stained oak casework. It also features an historic, 1930 architectural photo of the Wrigley Building, a living wall of plants similar to the ivy-covered outfield walls at Wrigley Field, and a wood carved map of the Chicago skyline. The café will also offer patio seating during summer months.
