World Imports, Ltd. and the official committee of unsecured creditors filed a joint plan of liquidation with related disclosure statement in the US Bankruptcy Court on June 2, 2017. As per the plan filed, Administrative Claims of $0.29 million shall be paid in full in cash. Allowed Claim of OEC shall recover an amount of $0.18 million which shall be paid in cash. OEC shall further receive from the proceeds of all of the debtor’s remaining assets, a sum of $0.03 million, after retention of the first $0.25 million by the debtor. All remaining assets shall be equally divided and paid between the debtor and OEC. Priority Non-Tax Claims, Priority Tax Claims (of governmental units) and General Unsecured Claims shall be paid in cash. Interest Holders of the Debtors shall receive no distribution under the plan and shall be cancelled. The plan shall be funded through cash on hand, and from the collections on judgments the debtor has already obtained and from the net proceeds of lawsuits the debtor intends to institute.
