Graduate Management Admission Council Announces Board Changes

The Graduate Management Admission Council announced a new chair and three additions to its board of directors at its annual business meeting in Denver, Colo. Chairing the board will be Ellen J. Glazerman, executive director of the Ernst & Young Foundation, and the America s director of University Relations for EY. Arriving to the board are K. Ravi Kumar, Ph.D., dean and Shaw chair professor of Nanyang Business School (NBS) at Nanyang Technological Universityin Singapore; and Nick Barniville, associate dean, Degree Programmes (MBA and Masters) at the European School of Management and Technology (ESMT) in Berlin, Germany. Donna Rapaccioli, Ph.D., dean of the Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University, has been elected to serve her first full term on the GMAC board. She had spent the past year completing a vacated dean director term. Terms of board chairs are one year, and board member terms are four years. All director terms begin July 1, 2015.

The Graduate Management Admission Council appointed a new chair and five additions to its board of directors at its annual business meeting in Baltimore. Chairing the board will be Alfons Sauquet, dean of ESADE Business School. Arriving to the board are William Boulding, dean and J.B. Fuqua Professor at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business; Tom Buiocchi, Silicon Valley executive and former CEO of Drobo, the data storage firm; Kenneth W. Freeman, dean and Allen Questrom Professor, Boston University's School of Management; Kate Klepper, associate dean of graduate business programs, Northeastern University's D'Amore-McKim School of Business; and Donna Rapaccioli, dean of Fordham University's Gabelli School of Business. Terms of board chairs are one year, and board member terms are four years. All director terms begin July 1, except for Buiocchi's, whose term began in March.
Graduate Management Admission Council Appoints Robert J. Alig Executive Vice President, School Products, Effective July 1, 2014

The Graduate Management Admission Council announced the appointment of Robert J. Alig as executive vice president, School Products, effective July 1, 2014. Alig will lead a new GMAC division dedicated to the development of new products for GMAC's school members and clients, as well as enhancing and expanding GMAC's professional development services and products for school admissions professionals. Alig comes to GMAC having served as vice president of the College Board's middle states regional office, where his team promoted college and career readiness for all K-12 and higher education students.
