Sashikanth (Sashi) Kodali, M.D., has joined Sparks Health System as the Chief Medical Information Officer. Dr. Kodali is an experienced and accomplished physician informaticist. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Clinical Informatics, a recently recognized subspecialty by American Board of Medical Specialties. Prior to coming to Sparks, Dr. Kodali served as a medical director of informatics at Vidant Health System in North Carolina. Previously, he worked as a Medical Director in the Clinical Innovation Department at Geisinger Health System. As the Chief Medical Information Officer, Dr. Kodali will work with Sparks’ information systems team and will lead optimization of health information technology at Sparks. Dr. Kodali will also work as a hospitalist physician at Sparks Regional Medical Center.

Ray Minkle has been named Vice President of Human Resources for Sparks Health System, which includes oversight for Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith, Sparks Medical Center - Van Buren and Sparks Clinic. Minkle has been an HR project manager with Sparks since 2010. He leads new employee orientation, oversees benefit enrollment, and regularly plans employee appreciation events. Before coming to Sparks, Minkle was director of human resources at Arkansas Best Corporation. He’s also served in vice president roles at Beverly Enterprises, now Golden Living, in Fort Smith and Security Pacific Bank in Los Angeles, Calif.
Sparks Health System Appoints Dan McKay as Chief Executive Officer

Sparks Health System announced that Dan McKay has been appointed CEO of the company and Summit Medical Center. He will begin his new leadership role in August. McKay will be the fifth CEO or interim CEO in a little more than a year's time. McKay has more than 20 years of hospital management experience. He was CEO of Northwest Health System for the last five years, overseeing Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville, Northwest Medical Center in Springdale and Willow Creek Women's Hospital in Johnson.
