Emory Healthcare Announces Management Changes

Emory Healthcare named Dr. Jonathan Lewin its new president and CEO. Lewin will also be Emory's Woodruff Health Science Center's new executive director and executive vice president for Health Affairs at the university. Currently, Lewin serves as senior vice president for integrated health-care delivery and co-chair for strategic planning at Johns Hopkins Medicine in Baltimore. He also serves as professor and chair of Johns Hopkins University's Russell H. Morgan Department of Radiology and Radiological Science and radiologist-in-chief of Johns Hopkins Hospital. Lewin succeeds Michael Mandl as Emory Healthcare CEO, who took over for former CEO John Fox in March 2015 after Fox accepted a position at Beaumont Health in Detroit. He begins his tenure at Emory Feb. 1, 2016.

Emory University promoted Michael J. Mandl to president and CEO of Emory Healthcare to replace John Fox. Mandl has been executive vice president for business and administration since joining Emory in 2003. He is a member of the Board of the Emory Saint Joseph's Joint Operating Co. Mandl is also the board chair for Emory Innovations Inc.
