McLaren Medical Group Announces Executive Changes

Bill Hardimon has been named president and CEO of McLaren Medical Group. He assumed his role on Oct. 20, 2014. Bill Hardimon is responsible for all aspects of McLaren Medical Group’s administrative operations, including the implementation and oversight of key strategic initiatives covering clinical quality, customer service, operational efficiency, and growth and expansion of the network. He will work closely with leadership across the McLaren system, as well as collaborate with network physicians and other individuals to ensure system wide best practices. Hardimon has more than 20 years of health care administration experience and most recently served as CEO for Mid-Michigan Physicians. He also has held CEO positions at Michigan CardioVascular Institute in Saginaw and the Cardiology Institute of Michigan in Flint, as well as administrative roles at Detroit Medical Center, Detroit Community Health Connection, Greater Detroit Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, and Great Lakes Rehabilitation Hospital. He replaces Mark O’Halla, who served as president and CEO of McLaren Medical Group before assuming his current role as executive vice president/chief operating officer at McLaren Health Care.
McLaren Health Care Continues Michigan Expansion

Executives of McLaren Health Care and Port Huron Hospital have finalized an agreement effective May 1, 2014, for Port Huron Hospital to become the 12th hospital in the not-for-profit McLaren Health Care system. The hospital will be renamed McLaren Port Huron. The agreement paves the way for immediate expanded health services in the Port Huron area, including a new cancer center, facility improvements, and upgraded technology and equipment. Capital funding for the construction of a new cancer center and a new inpatient tower is part of the agreement. The hospital expects to break ground for the cancer center early in 2015 with construction of the inpatient tower beginning later in 2015.
