Solutionary Launches Targeted Threat Intelligence Service to Increase Situational Awareness and Mitigate Attacks for Enterprises

Solutionary announced its new Targeted Threat Intelligence service, delivered by the Solutionary Security Engineering Research Team (SERT). The Solutionary Targeted Threat Intelligence service is designed to provide advance, actionable intelligence to clients by analyzing data from more than 600,000 unique threat sources in order to improve situational awareness and identify targeted threats against the enterprise network and key executives. The new Solutionary service employs SERT threat advisors to analyze and exploit information, converting it into enriched, actionable, risk-based threat intelligence for each client. In order to deal with the global nature of security threats, SERT has multilingual analysts and pulls data from information sources in more than seven languages. SERT threat advisors look for signs that sensitive client data, credentials or intellectual property have been exposed on the Internet. These are signs a breach may have occurred and mitigation actions are needed. By proactively seeking this type of information, Solutionary is able to help clients react quickly and limit the impact of targeted attacks. In addition, by offering increased situational awareness and advance notice, SERT threat advisors can make recommendations for defending against potential attacks before they are manifested. The Solutionary Targeted Threat Intelligence service helps enterprises increase situational awareness and potentially avoid attacks altogether by providing advance notice and actionable threat intelligence for risk mitigation to avoid impact to their business or key personnel, enabling them to protect brand equity and their customers. When the Targeted Threat Intelligence service is combined with Solutionary Security Log Monitoring, Solutionary engineers are able to develop custom signatures to detect targeted attacks and, with Solutionary Security Device Management, defend against attacks as well. SERT threat advisors gather information from open-source intelligence, the Dark Web, threat-intelligence feeds, Information Sharing and Analysis Centers (ISACs), niche intelligence groups, proprietary sources and attack data gleaned from the ActiveGuard® Security Analytics platform. Targeted Threat Intelligence is available in two service tiers tailored for each individual client. The first tier, Basic Targeted Threat Intelligence, provides threat intelligence alerts and reports. SERT threat advisors work with clients to understand their environment, their industry and their specific needs to establish a baseline. Clients receive client-specific Emerging Threat Advisories, vertical-market landscape analysis and reporting. The second tier, Managed Targeted Threat Intelligence, provides a dedicated threat advisor who partners with the client's internal team, acting as an extension of the team. Clients are able to interact directly with their dedicated SERT Threat Advisor on a regular basis and are provided with quarterly executive threat briefings, advance access to SERT research, executive monitoring, threat-actor dossiers and vendor monitoring. Solutionary also provides Structured Threat Information Expression (STIX) packages to clients for specific threats. Additional Threat Intelligence Service features include comprehensive, client-specific views of threats; views of existing target profiles and exposed data; actionable intelligence specific to individual organizations; IP reputation monitoring; integration with ActiveGuard detection and access to experienced SERT threat advisors.

Solutionary Announces Executive Appointments

Solutionary announced that it has appointed a new chief information officer (CIO); executive vice president, corporate development; and vice president, customer experience. Mark Weiss, Manny Quevedo and Raj Joshi together bring extensive relevant business experience to help drive the company's managed security services growth. Weiss joined the Solutionary executive team as CIO and will report to Mike Hrabik, the company's president. As CIO, he will lead the company's architecture, production services, and research and development teams. Weiss brings with him more than 35 years of Information Technology (IT) leadership experience. Prior to joining Solutionary, Weiss held the position of executive director, enterprise technical services, at The Nebraska Medical Center. Quevedo joined the Solutionary management team as executive vice president, corporate development, and will report to Idelman. In his role at the company, he will lead the sales, marketing and product management teams. Quevedo will be responsible for identifying opportunities to drive growth through innovative, multi-channel points; developing goals, strategies and tactics for successful launches of new products in the managed security services space; and delivering highly differentiated services to fuel growth. Quevedo comes to Solutionary with more than 30 years of computing and network security leadership experience. Prior to joining the company, he was president of Accknowledge Group. Joshi joined the Solutionary executive team as vice president, customer experience, and will report to Sheri Idelman, the company's chief operating officer. Joshi comes to Solutionary with nearly 20 years of experience in business development and client services. Solutionary Formalizes Critical Incident Response Services Offering

Solutionary announced that it has formalized its Critical Incident Response Services (CIRS) due to increased client demand for incident response preparedness. The new offerings include Incident Response Planning, Incident Response Plan Testing, Forensics and Malware Analysis. Solutionary CIRS are available at different service levels to align with organizational and regulatory requirements. These service levels are focused on incident response preparation and provide guaranteed reaction time for addressing and managing security incidents. CIRS are also available on-demand for organizations experiencing a security incident. The Solutionary Security Engineering Research Team (SERT) delivers proactive preparedness services to help clients prepare for security incidents before they happen. Taking a proactive approach to incident response can drastically improve an organization's security posture. The ability to respond to incidents quickly and efficiently is critically important to prevent the spread of the incident and to minimize impact. Incident response preparation is also part of many information security regulations and frameworks.
