Orange France Launches New Femtocell

Orange France has released a new version of its femtocell, which can be used by postpaid mobile customers with a 3G handset to make calls over the internet via a modem or home gateway from any provider with a least 1 Mbps broadband. The new femtocell provides up to 20 meter coverage and can be used by eight phones simultaneously. The product costs EUR 19.90 and no monthly subscription is required. Orangeinfo.fr writes that the operator's older femtocell product was able to connect four phones rather than eight.
Orange France Launches New Version of the BIC Phone

Orange France has launched a new version of the BIC phone, available at tobacconists, newspaper shops and large retailers. The redesigned phone comes in silver-grey and includes an MP3 player, Bluetooth, FM radio and a camera. It sells ready-to-use with a Sim card pre-installed and costs EUR 24.90 with EUR 5 of credit (enough for 12 minutes of calls to any operator in France) and 100 SMS. Customers can also make unlimited calls and send unlimited SMS between 21:00 and midnight. When out of credit, customers top up their credit with the Orange Mobicarte range.

Orange France reported revenue results for the second quarter ended June 2014. For the period, the company reported that its revenue decline by 4.2% to EUR 4.8 billion from EUR 5.02 billion in the second quarter of 2013, an improvement on a 5% decrease in the first quarter.
