Samsung Reportedly In Talks To Buy Assets Of Magneti Marelli

Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. (KOSE:A005930) is in advanced talks to buy some or all of the operations of Magneti Marelli S.p.A. from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V. (BIT:FCA), according to people familiar with the matter. Samsung is particularly interested in Magneti Marelli’s lighting, in-car entertainment and telematics business and could consider an acquisition of the whole company, the people said, asking not to be identified as the discussions are private.

Magneti Marelli Opens New Plant in Guangzhou

Magneti Marelli has opened a new plant for the production of suspension systems and pedal systems in Nansha district of Guangzhou city, in China's Guangdong province. The new plant was inaugurated on May 30, 2016 and covers 27,000 square metres, of which 17,000 sq m are devoted to production facilities. The plant will produce suspension systems for 220,000 vehicles per annum and pedal boxes for 100,000 vehicles per annum.

Magneti Marelli Announces Earnings Results for the First Quarter Ended March 31, 2016

Magneti Marelli announced earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2016. For the quarter, the company reported net revenues of EUR 409,000 against EUR 529,000 a year ago. Income was EUR 5,337,000 against EUR 6,430,000 a year ago.
