OSG Billing Services Implements Ricoh Americas Corporation’ Ricoh Pro VC60000 Next-Generation Continuous Feed Inkjet Platform
Sep 14 15
Ricoh Americas Corporation announced that OSG Billing Services (OSG) is successfully implemented the RICOH Pro VC60000 next-generation continuous feed inkjet platform. Due to the success of the first installation, OSG has purchased a second system furthering its partnership with Ricoh. OSG is using the RICOH Pro VC60000 to streamline its operations, enhance their future growth and more quickly meet customer demand for high-quality, high-volume transactional documents. OSG was seeking a reliable solution that could keep up with its increasing rate of impressions, enable new customer applications, and open up new revenue streams while continuing to meet its customers' strict demands for quality, accuracy and speed – all without requiring additional operator oversight or costly power use. With the RICOH Pro VC60000, OSG is able to consolidate a wide variety of applications that were previously printed on multiple systems onto a common platform, decreasing inefficient shifts in work, and increasing speed and productivity. The RICOH Pro VC60000 prints at high-quality 600x600 resolution at nearly 400 feet per minute, enabling OSG to produce enhanced customer communications at a rapid pace. The forthcoming second RICOH Pro VC60000 system will help OSG continue on this growth path. The RICOH Pro VC60000 is capable of producing customized direct mail, books and marketing collateral, and provides a function-rich, comprehensive solution for customers who are already using digital print but want to streamline their operations, as well as those who are new to digital color. The platform's proprietary printheads and dynamic variable drop technology is capable of producing near-offset physical resolutions of up to 1200x1200 dpi. It supports a wide range of ink types, paper stocks and file formats, along with support for process and spot colors and International Color Consortium (ICC)-based color management. With its modular architecture, the RICOH Pro VC60000 is highly configurable to meet users' unique needs, and highly scalable to grow with users and protect their investments as those needs change.
Ricoh Americas Corporation Announces RICOH TotalFlow BatchBuilder New, Enhanced Version of Software Solution to Increase Efficiencies and Minimize Waste on Short-Run and On-Demand Print Jobs
Sep 14 15
Ricoh Americas Corporation announced RICOH TotalFlow BatchBuilder, a new, enhanced version of its software solution that simplifies and automates the batching and scheduling of short-run digital work for centralized job control. The enhancements further address print service providers' pain points around short-run and on-demand jobs through improved tracking and alert capabilities to increase efficiencies, improve costs and minimize waste. Efficiently, effectively handling short-run and on-demand jobs can require time-consuming, hands-on management to avoid waste and missed deadlines. This can often be a proposition even more difficult for printers running installations with digital printers from multiple vendors to manage and monitor. The original RICOH TotalFlow BatchBuilder software was developed to help commercial printers, as well as publishing printers, in-plants, franchise printers and service bureaus, resolve these issues by simplifying and automating many of the steps in short-run digital production. Through a single web-based user interface, the software allows users to develop pre-defined rules for jobs helping to automate many of the manual steps and then batch like jobs together for simpler routing and finishing. This allows for increased job production resulting in improved revenues. Capabilities new to RICOH TotalFlow BatchBuilder include: The ability to add barcodes to batch tickets around shipping. This allows for status and location update tracking throughout the production process. A new user interface for manually scanning barcodes. A new dashboard with enhanced instant views of jobs being batched, enabling immediate status updates. New alerts around due times for orders, mismatches for specific filter requirements, duplicate orders and low disk space, that can be seen on the dashboard or sent via email to ensure when problems happen, they are addressed immediately, helping ensure SLAs are met. Already vendor agnostic, the software now has 3rd party integration of imposition capabilities.
Ricoh Americas Corporation Announces RICOH TotalFlow Print Server Software
Sep 14 15
Ricoh Americas Corporation announced its new RICOH TotalFlow Print Server software, designed to help operators of hybrid print environments get the most out of both their digital and offset presses. The new offering, compatible with both the RICOH Pro C7100 and RICOH Pro C9100 series, aims to eliminate extra steps in transitioning jobs meant for offset devices to digital printers without sacrificing quality. With more digital printers being integrated into offset environments, many organizations are struggling to reap the full capabilities of their diverse fleet due to headaches associated with shifting jobs between platforms. Transitioning offset jobs to digital costs time and introduces extra opportunity for user error two major pain points that would encourage a printer to utilize a digital device in the first place. Usually, when a print job is set up for offset but is then required to print on a digital device, it must be manually submitted to the digital workflow and then carefully edited again to fit these new requirements. In addition to being slow and leaving the transition open to errors, these steps pull operators' focus from other important tasks within a shop. With RICOH TotalFlow Print Server, this challenge is instantly resolved.
